2009/2010
- Sponsored and Co-hosted (with Project Inform) a community forum about the dangers of HIV/Hepatitis C co-infection. The forum was titled “Could You Survive HIV Only to Die from Hepatitis C?” The forum was held in March 2009. Daniel Fierer, M.D. was the main speaker. The forum was well attended and became a catalyst for some very important advocacy in our community.
- In September and October we sponsored and held two skin cancer/melanoma screenings at local street fairs (Folsom and Castro Street Fairs, September). We screened over 130 persons and found six possible melanomas.
