Health Alert: Get Your Seasonal Flu Vaccine As Soon As Possible

vaccineDue to the fact that flu vaccine producers have been directed to focus their efforts on the H1N1 vaccine, availability of the seasonal flu vaccine could be limited. Doctor Conant has advised that due to this potential shortage, all persons who are HIV+ (indeed everyone regardless of HIV status) should get the vaccine as soon as possible.

Genital Warts

The following is a health alert from the desk of Marcus A. Conant, M.D.

cmg_dr_conantPresentations at the 2009 ICAAC (Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy) made it clear that many clinics are not doing rectal pap smears on men and women with a history of anal warts. Dr. Conant feels that anyone who has ever had an anal wart should have a rectal pap smear each year.
